Rachel's CAT-Tastic Life

Growing up I desperately wanted a pet but my father and brother both had severe allergies to cats and dogs so, instead I got turtles. But, my love for cats never went away. As a kid I spent a lot of time watching the TV show My Cat From Hell. I am now godmother to a 5-year-old female tabby cat named Louise that lives with my roommate and I in our apartment. It has been a super healing experience for my inner child who always wanted her own cat. More about me: I am a 21-year-old Musical Theatre major (and writing minor) at Molloy University but I am originally from Southern California where most of my family still currently resides. I spend a lot of my free time watching films and going out with friends. I just really love sunny days and a good iced oat latte!

I make a point of finding a way to connect with every cat I meet that will help them to feel safe and comfortable around me. I am very dedicated to experimenting with different kinds of toys till I figure out their favorite one(s) so they can get the most out of playtime. I love giving treats as it can be a good way to bond with a cat or teach them new tricks--but I am also aware that they're usually only helpful in moderation!
